During the next half term we will be reading the book, Watch Out For Muddy Puddles.

we will be having lots of fun discovering what might be under the surface of puddles, could it be pirates or mermaids. We will be using our imagination to explore the puddles.

why not look closely at a puddle next time you walk past and use you imagination to talk about what you think you might find below?

We hope everyone has had a wonderful half term, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

We look forward to seeing everyone back in nursery on Monday the 27th.

The first week back is an exciting week, with lots to do. Tuesday is Shrove Tuesday (pancake day), we will be making some delicious pancakes.

The nursery staff look forward to meeting all the parents during parents open sessions, on Wednesday and Thursday.

Thursday is also World Book Day, you can come dressed as your favourite character from a book.

Friday is GEM day, we will be dressing up as people from different jobs, that we would like to be when we get older.

If you have any questions about the first week back, send a message on the blog or speak to a member of staff in nursery.

see you all on Monday.

This half term we are using our imagination to dress up and make-believe.

We are also using our imagination to make models from boxes and other junk materials.

The children have begun to make some fabulous creations and are continuing to think about the different junk models they can make. To help us use our imaginations we are reading books that encourage make-believe play.

The books we are focusing on this half term are:

Not A Box, by Antoinette Portis   and  Whatever Next, by Jill Murphy

can you draw a picture together with your child using your imaginations or have a go at creating something from Mr Maker. Why not bring it to school and put it in your learning journey.

We have enjoyed learning about our topic bears.

We have been on a bear hunt around school and found a bear in a cave.

Over the holidays (Christmas eve) watch out for the television adaptation of  ‘We’re going on a bear hunt’.

We are delighted with how well all the children have settled into nursery this term and look forward to continuing the great learning and activities through the next term.

The Gingerbread man was a wonderful book to share together.    what does the Gingerbread man say?

and the best part was baking our own Gingerbread men

We enjoyed learning about the different parts of our bodies especially singing the Body Bop song.
