Our Topic this half term is all about trains and other forms of transport.

We are Reading the Book The Train Ride

by June Crebbin

We are going on a visit to the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway to find out what it is like to travel on a steam train and look at the different things we can see through the window on our journey.

Keighley and Worth Valley Railway

Talk to your child about the different transport you use.  How do you get to the shops? What transport have you been on? How do you travel to work or school? What transport would your child like to travel on?

If you have any questions about the trip on the Steam train please speak to your child’s teacher.

welcome back to nursery we hope you had a wonderful Easter break.

This term we are learning about plants and growing seeds.

We will be reading the book Eddie’s Garden and planting different seeds some vegetables and some flowers.

When you are walking with your child talk about the different flowers you can see. what colours can you see? what do they smell like? are they flowers or vegetables?

Why not plant some seeds at home a plastic cup or a washed out yoghurt pot will work as a plant pot. cress grows very quickly.

If you are feeling adventurous why not make a cress head
